Thanks for Visiting!

Hyannis Supporting Our Youth, Inc. (HySOY) was birthed from the Greater Hyannis Civic Association's Voices of the Village meeting in April 2011. With an active core membership, and many others willing to provide mentoring, the group is diverse in its strengths. Members include former or current educators and principals, pastors, business people, parents and grandparents. Each member has committed to supporting Hyannis youth through both existing programs and through the creation of new initiatives. Members work on Mentoring, Early Literacy Initiatives and Childhood Enrichment Opportunities to support our youth. We currently meet the first Tuesday of every month at 530pm at Faith Assembly of God (154 Bearse's Way) and new members and interested parties are always welcome. Please contact Sue Cwynar, director, at hysoytaskforce@gmail.com for more information or to volunteer.

Wednesday, December 19th & Thursday, December 20th: 3-530pm we will have a small party for each group at Homework Help. We'd love to have lots of baked goods for the kids to snack on. (Please no coconut--our only allergy.) We will do small carnival like activities and games for kids to play for those two days. We are looking for extra volunteers to help (particularly Wednesday).

Saturday, February 9th at BWB Elementary School: We will have a table at the Healthy Family Fair sponsored by the FUN network and CC Child Development. We need volunteers to help with this.

As always, everyone is always welcome to join our weekly Hyannis Supporting Our Youth meetings at 6pm in the United Cultures Room at the HYCC. If you are looking for more ways to become involved, help with special events or have skills in fundraising or accounting, we'd love to have your input. We are all volunteers so the more the better!
